Collaborators are wanted!  I am  starting to realize that the potential is out there for great things in the areas of podcasting, using handhelds and online learning in the classroom.  My students are loving it and I see the results in their work.  I am also realizing that I can accomplish much more if I get some additional believers on board.  So…I am looking for some teachers who are interested and who create or want to learn to create similar content to collaborate!  Any takers?  Remember, I am pretty much self taught.  If I can do it, you can do it!  You can click on  this post and log in and reply, or you can email me via the contact form at my main site www.masterymaze.com.

72500502***Get over it!!*** Today I went to the doctors for my annual physical. I had not been there in almost a year and the office has switched to a computer record system. It was quite funny to see the nurse log in my vitals, medications, make my test appointments and scripts all on the computer. The nurse who was doing this was about 20 something, and very comfortable navigating the system. I could just see her “clicking” through as if she were in her Facebook account!

But….The doctor arrives. Not so young and obviously less experienced, he also clicked here and there and everywhere. At the end of the appointment he apoligized for the time it took him to record everything, and said, “This is really new to me, but I think in the long run, it will make us better at what we do.” I was impressed! He is probably 10 years from retirement and yet ready to tackle a new way of doing his job.

At the same time I hear all too often from others, that they “just don’t like doing things on the computer.” Well today, again reinforced my response. “Too bad.” “Get over it!”.

This is the world we live in, whether you like it or not. Whether you are at MDonald’s, or Jiffy Lube, or your school, or your doctors office, this is the way the world works. So boot up and login!
